Vocal
Polyps are benign epithelial lesions of the vocal folds that are fluid filled
and usually unilateral. The fluid filled area usually causes asymmetry in the
vibration of the vocal folds. This often results in a wet hoarse quality of the
voice.
Vocal polyps are treated with surgery after vocal hygiene and
voice therapy.
