Vocal
Nodules are bilateral symmetric lesions on the vocal folds that develop from excessive
and improper use of the voice. They occur mostly in young boys and in adult females.
These lesions are similar to callouses on the hands or feet.
Vocal nodules
are treated with voice therapy and vocal hygiene and usually go away when the
vocal abuse or misuse is eliminated.
